Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

Flash Market News ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website flashmarketnews.com and publishes explanatory financial content (including videos on YouTube) about daily stock-market movers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the limited scope of third-party data access we perform.

Flash Market News is a publishing platform. We do not require accounts, logins, or registration to view our content. Specifically:

  • We do not collect personal information (name, email, address, phone) from visitors to flashmarketnews.com.
  • We use Google Analytics (Google Analytics 4, loaded via gtag.js) to collect aggregate usage statistics — pages visited, referral source, approximate geographic region, and device/browser type. We use this data only to understand how the site is used in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we have not enabled Google Analytics advertising or remarketing features. Google processes this data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. See "Cookies and Tracking" below for the cookies involved and how to opt out.
  • Our web host (Cloudflare) may record standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and abuse prevention, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
  • If you email us at contact@flashmarketnews.com, we will have your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond.

Flash Market News operates an automated pipeline that publishes videos to our own YouTube channel. To do so, we use Google API Services, specifically the YouTube Data API v3, under the following scope:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — used solely to upload video files to the Flash Market News YouTube channel owned by our operator.

Flash Market News's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Concretely:

  • The OAuth credential is used only by Flash Market News's own operator account to publish Flash Market News content. It is never used to access any other Google user's account.
  • We do not read, store, or transfer data belonging to YouTube viewers, subscribers, or any other end users.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, to serve ads, or to build marketing profiles.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except (a) with the operator's explicit consent, (b) for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse), (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data is aggregated and used for internal operations.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features of Flash Market News, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to affected users.

Flash Market News aggregates public market data (stock prices, volume, corporate filings) from licensed third-party providers. This data concerns publicly traded companies and does not constitute personal information about website visitors.

Flash Market News uses Google Analytics, which sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and measure aggregate site usage. These cookies are not used by us for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser — all content remains fully accessible with cookies disabled.

Your browser may also receive incidental infrastructure cookies from our content delivery network (Cloudflare) used for security (e.g., bot mitigation); these are not used to track you across sites.

Flash Market News is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Because we do not collect personal data from site visitors, there is no visitor data to retain. Operator-side credentials (e.g., our own YouTube OAuth refresh token) are stored as encrypted secrets in our deployment platform and are rotated or revoked if the operator's access changes.

We follow reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including storing operator credentials only as encrypted secrets in GitHub Actions and limiting access to authorized operators. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
